Omi turns your raw audio into Conversations, extracts Memories and Tasks from them, and lets you chat with all of that history.

How Omi stores conversations and memories

  • Every time you record, Omi creates a Conversation with:

    • Transcript

    • Summary

    • Key points / insights

    • Action items / tasks (when detected)

  • From those conversations, Omi saves important facts as Memories (people, places, preferences, commitments, etc.).

  • Conversations are stored on Omi’s secure cloud infrastructure; you can delete your data (including “delete everything” from app settings).

Search past conversations and events in Omi

  • Use the search bar to:

    • Search by keywords and phrases from your conversations.

    • Look up people, projects or topics across memories.

  • Some views allow filtering (e.g., by date, tags, starred) so you can narrow down what you’re looking for.

Star, edit and delete conversations, tasks and memories

  • Edit:

    • You can edit titles, categories and content to better reflect what matters to you.

  • Delete:

    • You can delete individual conversations or memories from their detail view.

    • There is also a “delete everything” option in settings if you want to wipe your account data.

  • Star:

    • Star conversations to mark them as important and filter those moments quickly.

Chatting with your history

  • In Chat, Omi uses your conversations + memories + tasks as context to answer questions.

  • You can ask things like:

    • “What were the main decisions from my last three client meetings?”

    • “Remind me what I told Omi about my sleep and workouts last month.”

  • Some chat tools (apps) specialize in querying memories (e.g., Notion CRM-style apps or “chat with your memories” tools), try them!
