Overview: which third-party devices work with Omi

Omi already works with popular AI wearables like the Friend and Limitless Pendant, Plaud Note / Note Pin, Bee and others.

You keep your existing hardware and just use the Omi app for transcription, memories, tasks and apps.

All of them follow the same pattern on the Omi side:

  1. Put the device into pairing mode using its own hardware steps.

  2. On your phone, make sure Bluetooth is ON.

  3. Open the Omi app → Connect (top-left) and select the device from the list.

Details below for each device.

Set up Limitless Pendant with Omi

1. Put the Limitless Pendant in pairing mode

Use the hardware factory reset – this also puts it into pairing mode:

  1. Make sure the pendant is not plugged in and doesn’t show a solid red light.

    • If it shows solid red while unplugged, hold the button for 10+ seconds until the red light turns off.

  2. Do a fast double-press on the button:

    • First press: quick tap and release.

    • Second press: immediately press and hold (very little pause between the two).

  3. Keep holding until you see a purple light.

  4. When the purple light disappears, release the button.

  5. The light should turn solid blue → the pendant is factory-reset and ready to pair with Omi.

2. Clear old Bluetooth entries

  • On your phone, open Bluetooth settings.

  • Find the old Limitless Pendant entry and Forget / Remove it.

3. Pair inside the Omi app

  1. Open the Omi app.

  2. Tap Connect at the top-left of the screen.

  3. Select your Limitless Pendant from the list and confirm.

Keep the pendant very close to your phone while it connects. Done!

Set up Friend Pendant with Omi

When you power up your Friend Pendant, it enters Bluetooth pairing mode, so just make sure to turn it on and follow the steps below.

1. Prepare the Friend device

  1. Make sure the device is charged.

  2. Turn Friend on so its status light is visible.

  3. Open your Bluetooth settings, find the pendant, and select 'Forget this Device' / 'Remove'.

2. Pair inside the Omi app

  1. Open the Omi app.

  2. Tap Connect at the top-left of the home screen.

  3. When Friend appears in the list, tap it and follow the on-screen steps.

Keep the pendant close to your phone until pairing is complete.

Set up Plaud Note/Pin with Omi

Plaud Note / NotePin has its own hardware pairing mode using the main Record button.

1. Put Plaud Note / NotePin into pairing mode

  1. Turn the device on.

  2. Press and hold the main Record button until the LED starts flashing white – this indicates Bluetooth pairing mode.

  3. If the device was previously paired with the phone, remove/forget it from Bluetooth settings.

2. Pair inside the Omi app

  1. On your phone, confirm Bluetooth is ON.

  2. Open the Omi app.

  3. Tap Connect at the top-left.

  4. Select your Plaud Note / NotePin from the list and follow the on-screen instructions.

Keep the device close to your phone during pairing.

Set up Bee with Omi

1. Put Bee into pairing mode

  1. Make sure Bee is charged and powered on.

  2. Press the main button 5 times in a row to reset the device and put it into pairing mode.

  3. Wait for the pairing light/indicator on Bee to confirm it’s ready to connect.

If Bee was previously paired to your phone, you may want to Forget / Remove it from your phone’s Bluetooth settings before doing this.

2. Pair Bee with the Omi app

  1. On your phone, turn Bluetooth ON.

  2. Open the Omi app.

  3. Tap Connect in the top-left corner.

  4. Select Bee from the list of available devices and follow the on-screen steps.

  5. Keep the device close to your phone during pairing.

Known limitations and differences for each device

  • Omi team is constantly working to expand and improve third-party compatibility and features. The goal is to be the best app in this category and work with as many devices as possible.

  • Different devices have different capabilities: some can record offline and sync later, others only stream when your phone is nearby.

Some integrations start in beta and can change quickly, so always check the latest notes in the Omi app or in the device-specific guides.
